Draft standing orders under section 30 of the Industrial Relations Code 2020, built on the Model Standing Orders 2026
Use this draft where Chapter IV of the Code applies (three hundred or more workers employed, or employed on any day of the preceding twelve months: section 28) and the employer wants its own certified standing orders. To adopt the Model Standing Orders unchanged, use "Intimation of adoption of the model standing orders and the display notice" in this pack. File this draft with "Application to the certifying officer for certification of draft standing orders, with the notice to workers".
The draft is certifiable only if it provides for every First Schedule matter (section 30(6)); Schedule 3 below maps them. The certifying officer judges fairness and reasonableness having regard to the Model Standing Orders (section 30(7)). The clauses follow Schedule B (manufacturing) of the Model Standing Orders 2026: for a mine use Schedule A, for a services establishment check Schedule C. List every departure, with the reason, in the statement filed with the application. Until these orders come into operation, the Model Standing Orders are deemed adopted (section 29(2)).
