Request to lender for a facility with cover under CGSS
CGSS guarantees the lender, not the startup. The startup never applies to NCGTC. It borrows from a member institution, which decides whether to take cover and pay the fee, and usually passes the fee on. Clients hear “Rs 20 crore collateral-free” and assume a right to a loan. A guarantee does not replace a lender's credit appraisal, and a pre-revenue startup rarely gets through one.
