MSE Procurement Policy, TReDS and Delayed Payments
The MSMED Act gives a micro or small supplier the sharpest collection tool in Indian commercial law, three times the bank rate, compounded monthly, before a Council that the buyer cannot contract out of, but only for supplies made while the supplier was registered, and the machinery is being rebuilt by the MSMED (Amendment) Bill 2026, passed by Parliament on 07.08.2026. Check registration dates and commencement before you write a demand.
