Dear [Sir / Madam / Sirs],
We write to record the terms on which we have agreed to act for you in connection with your return of income for the year stated above. Please sign and return the duplicate of this letter in token of your agreement. We will not begin work until the signed duplicate is received.
1. Scope of the engagement
(a) We will compute your total income and tax liability for the financial year 2025-26, corresponding to assessment year 2026-27, under the Income-tax Act, 1961, on the basis of the records, information and explanations furnished by you.
(b) We will prepare your return of income in the applicable form and upload it on the income-tax e-filing portal after your written approval of the computation.
